ASIC has written to general insurers about insurance claims and severe weather events.听
The letter outlines:听
- ASIC鈥檚 expectations of general insurers鈥� obligations to act efficiently, honestly and fairly in handling and settling claims;听
- More specifically 魅影直播鈥檚 expectations that insurers be prepared, proactive, transparent, consumer-centric, and responsive in meeting their general obligations as Australian Financial Services (AFS) licensees in claims handling; and听
- Preliminary observations from 魅影直播鈥檚 project looking at the consumer experience in home insurance claims.听
